The Rotary Club St. Gallen is the largest and oldest Rotary Club in eastern Switzerland. The RC St. Gallen was founded on July 4, 1925, at the former Hotel Hecht – the successors of the founders have now started planning the big anniversary in 2025. The club will celebrate the various facets of Rotary life on its 100th birthday. The RC St. Gallen can look back on an eventful history and a lively club life. The club cultivated relationships with other Rotary Clubs early on, including abroad. A St. Gallen Rotarian was present at the founding of the Rotary Club Munich in 1928, and a club partnership emerged from this that continues to this day – every two years the clubs in Munich or St. Gallen visit each other.
